Ik heb nog wat DVD's (TS,ISO) files op mijn PC staan en bij sommige van deze files waarbij losse subs bij zitten heb ik het volgende probleem;

Als ik de film start zonder subs te activeren dan is er niets aan de hand,maar zodra ik de subs activeer dan verlies ik het beeld,er is dan geen 'handshake' meer...dus word er niet gesproken in de film, dus ook geen subs, is er weer beeld maar zodra er weer gesproken wordt en de subs in het beeld moeten komen is het beeld compleet verdwenen het geluid blijft daarin tegen gewoon hoorbaar

Gisteren heb ik mijn externe hardeschijf via usb aangesloten op de tvix, na veel proberen lukt het mij niet om de harde schijf via de tvix te benaderen. De aansluiting was hdd, naar usb host, dit moet toch goed zijn!
Heeft iemand enig idee wat ik verkeerd doe, of..

Voor de filetransfer van gisteren heb ik mijn laptop er maar tussen gezet, dan werkt het wel (harde schijf, laptop, tvix)

Heb je misschien de plaats van de ondertitels verschoven? Misschien staan ze half buiten beeld en kan de TV daar niet tegen? Heb je het alleen op de TV of ook op de projector?

Nee,alleen op mijn pj...

Hee...,wacht eens even...,volgens mij staat de tvix 'n beetje op zoom,zou dat de reden kunnen zijn?
Ik ga dit vanavond eens bekijken,thx voor de tip

Je kan ook met de TV out knop weer naar de standaard 480p  en 576p resoluties terug. Misschien dat je dan wel beeld hebt? Daarna weer langzaam opschroeven  -> 720p, 1080i, 1080p , 1080p/24

Nee niet op 6500 geprobeert maar wel op popcornhour. Daar wel gewoon geluid. 5.1
Dus is geen wmv want dat geluid kan ik niet decodereren en krijg dan gewoon 2.0

We would like to ask everyone owning a TViX M-4100, M-5100 and M-6500 to read this message entirely... DViCo offered a new update (beta) today for the M-6500 and M-x100 series but before we get to the links, we want to explain a few things about the RFX engine used in the latest updates for the M-6500 units. RFX (Ripped File Demuxer) is a marketing term used and is not related to any existing RFX engine. This engine is custom coded by DViCo to interpret the container format and get video and audio separated ion the first step, usually called "splitting", "parsing" and "Demux". IN the second step, the video and audio are send separately after which the hardware will do the decoding without the CPU being involved. Click on "Read More" for the updates and more info...




The reason why some files play and other files wont, even though the codec used is supported is often because there are issues and / or variations in the container format and whether it will play or not is determined mainly by the abilities of the demuxer. DviCo (and I believe all other companies) have been using Sigmadesignes demuxer which is part of the SDK.

Not everybody plays MKV the way a TViX does because DViCo wrote their own demuxer and it is not included in the Sigma SDK. DViCo supposes other competitors (Syabas, Tomacro) also wrote their own MKV demuxer. DViCo's MKV playback is however better than competitors because the demuxer is better and more capable. If companies would rely on Sigma, we as consumers would all have similar performance and issues where now different problems and abilities apply to different players. This is part of a choice to make when purchasing devices and DViCo has always been one of the brands finding their own solutions.

So far, avi playback was similar or a tiny little better than the competition because it was largely based on Sigma SDK with few modifications from DViCo. From recent versions, DViCo no longer uses Sigma SDK code in demuxing AVI and started to use it's own code. It turns out to be a lot better than Sigma original SDK abilities bbut work is still in progress based on problems reported. DViCo is now also writing transport stream (tp,ts,m2ts..) parser (demuxer), and some of the early results are included in recent firmware. The performance and compatibility of transport stream playback will be greatly enhanced when this task is completed.

So, from now on, for mkv and avi DViCo can resolve the compatibility problems quicker because they no longer need to analyze the reason and file SDK issues at Sigma who takes time resolving issues. DViCo can now fix it in house on the condition that it is not a problem coming from real decoding of video and audio raw streams. Since the Sigmas chip is hardwired in terms of video and DSP based in terms of audio (where no one has access to this DSP code and therefore cannot enhance it), is due to decoding , DViCo cannot develop other ways but ask Sigma to fix the problem in such case.

It is important users of TViX players understand DViCo seems to be finding their ways into resolving issues and avoid bottlenecks like Sigma which has led to all these months of lesser updates which in combination with the issues on the latest players (resolved by now) caused quite some time. Things are back on track now with FW development and today DViCo launched a new beta update for 3 players which even include ICON browse mode fixes... For some issues reported, test files are needed so we welcome those having issues with XVID files for example to contact us. We will not accept all samples but a few that allows analyzing issues that can be "reproduced" every time...

FW Beta Updates for M-4100, M-5100 and M-6500:
DViCo corrected MKV embedded subtitle problem and enhanced stability in ICON mode operation. AVI compatibility has been increased because DViCo fixed or did some work around by looking into the problem files that they received from beta testers on former versions. DViCo mentions it is monitoring the forums for error reports and appreciates all the help and trust.

So, now DViCo can fix the AVI compatibility problems quickly if they have sample files as well as MKV. For ISO playback, DViCo and others still need to mostly depend on Sigma SDK but has a long term plan of writing their own code. For JPG and music playback, DViCo engineers are already writing own code from the ground so that again, they less depend on Sigma for making it work better. The result (JPG and music) are expected in a month or two.

Ik heb 1.2.20 beta er nu op staan. Draait goed, een paar mkv, mpeg2 ts en h264 ts files geprobeerd.

Het enige probleem wat ik nog heb met mijn 5100 is klikjes in het geluid bij 1080p weergave. Soms heb ik dit ook met 720p materiaal met hoge bitrate. Dit is via de analoge uitgang.
Hopelijk is dit nu ook met deze firmware opgelost. Het zou voor mij de enige reden zijn over te stappen op de 6500.
