...de ontwikkeling gaat namelijk gewoon door.

HDI zal doorontwikkelen maar aangezien er een Sigma chip in zit zal de ontwikkeling moeilijk zijn. In het verleden (bijna een garantie voor de toekomst ) is de mindere ondersteuning door Sigma voor andere leveranciers altijd een probleem gebleken.

Of iemand anders kan me a.u.b uitleggen wat de instellingen zijn van Allegro NFS om NFS te kunnen sharen van pc naar de dune.
Ik weet niet wellke opties/instellingen moet doen of aanvinken om een map te kunnen sharen via NFS.
Ik heb vista 32 bit op mijn computer geinstalleerd.
Via SMB is me wel gelukt.

Heb nu met de readtest 14mb/s via de laptop. (gigabit aansluiting)
En alle films streamen nu perfect, dus mijn Qnap 509 Pro gaat eruit

Heb nu zelf alegro draaien maar kom niet boven de 1.1MB uit op TCP, op UDP loopt de hele boel vast.
Enig idee ?

Ik heb net de server gerestart zal het morgen nog eens bekijken wat er aan de hand is.
SMB zit ik stabiel op 6mb maar ben voor een bepaalde file waarschijnlijk aangewezen op NFS (eerste die hier niet liep).
Zal hanewin ook eens opzoeken als hij morgen nog zo traag loopt.

Kan je ook een reset to factory defaults doen op de center. Normaliter heb ik de video op auto staan en gaf altijd perfect beeld. Nu geeft spontaan letters blokkerig in het menu. Tevens geeft ie ook geen geluid meer over HDMI terwijl dit wel ingesteld staat.

Wat frank denk ik bedoelt is dat de auto optie waar jij het over hebt alleen automatisch weet wat voor weergave apparaat je er aan hebt hangen.

EDID is een systeem waarmee weergave apparaten als monitoren, tv's, projectoren, etc. doorgeven welke resoluties ze aan kunnen.

Dus als de Dune ingesteld staat op 'auto' dan zal hij aan de hand van de EDID informatie de optimale resolutie voor de grafische interface van de Dune selecteren (bijv 1280x1024 bij 60Hz).

Dit houd dus niet in dat hij per video bestand kijkt naar in welke resolutie en met welke framerate de film is gemaakt.

Stel dat je dus een film hebt die 1920x1080 is bij 24 fps (1080p24) dan zal de dune niet automatisch omschakelen naar die resolutie en die framerate en zal je dus (omdat de framerate niet matched) stotters krijgen in het beeld.

Als ik het goed heb kun je de resolutie wel op auto zetten, maar je moet de framerate aanpassen al naar gelang je een Bluray (rip) of ntsc/pal dvd afspeelt. Dit moet je doen met de waardes die Frank hierboven aangeeft.

Ik heb sinds even een BD Prime (met GB-lan).
Heb firmware 2 (stabiele versie) erop staan maar als ik de BD: 007 Quantum of solace erin doe komt er een rood scherm met gele letters dat de speler niet up to dat is. Iemand enig ervaring hierin?

Om mezelf te quoten:

Dit is een bekend probleem. HDI is bezig (als het goed is) met het implementeren van de nieuwe code van Sigma, waarna ook deze blu-rays zouden moeten werken. Echter is het al een tijdje geleden dat HDI wat over de status hiervan gepost heeft. Bij mijn weten is het laatste dat er nog wat problemen waren met (het implementeren van) de nieuwe code van Sigma.

En een recente quote van HDI op het mpcclub forum:

We are currently busy working on a new firmware based on the new Sigma SDK that would solve Bluray compatibility problems. This work is still in progress; unfortunately, severe problems were found with all recently shipped Sigma SDK versions, and it took time to find workarounds for problems and to wait for Sigma to provide necessary fixes for problems that can be fixed by Sigma only, but finally it seems we have a SDK version which is OK to support all functions of our firmware, and we are now 99% sure that we'll be able to produce a firmware based on this SDK. Still can not comment on any possible dates for release of a new fw based on the new SDK (optimistic estimation is the end of June, but this is still not fully clear), sorry for that. We'll do everything possible to release it as soon as possible. Bluray compatibility is a very important thing for us.

Meanwhile, before the release of this new-SDK-based fw, very probably we'll also release an update for the latest beta/RC-fw including some more bugfixes (this update release is expected very soon, probably in a few days); most probably this will be a RC2, which will be followed in a few days by a stable/recommended release, and only after that a new SDK-based-fw will be released as a new beta. I.e. an approximate plan is:
RC2-fw (a few days)-> stable/recommended fw (a few days more)-> new-beta fw based on a new SDK (unclear, maybe end of June)

Besides of this big work on a new SDK integration, we also work in background on many other new firmware features (including further work on autoframerate feature, and also some new features, such as e.g. SMB/NFS/UPnP browser, many improvements for handling of subtitles/audiotracks in file player, etc). These new features required significant fw modifications, and they will be included most probably into the new-SDK-based beta-fw.

Of course, all new firmware versions will be provided for all Dune models, including the current Base/Prime/Center models, and new Base-2.0/Prime-2.0 models. We will continue releasing the new firmware versions for old Mini/Ultra models as well (BTW, the Ultra model is not manufactured any more for more than a year, but we are still releasing all fw updates for it too, including exactly the same new features as for all other models (when this is technically allowed by the hardware), and we are still going to release fw updates for this outdated model, so maybe this is a good argument that we are not going to stop supporting old hardware).

There will be no differences between the firmware for Base/Prime and Base-2.0/Prime-2.0 models, except those depending on the differences in the hardware.

BTW, it seems everybody here believes that 2.0 models are 100% better than the current models. This is not fully true: there are some differences in the hardware, but they are both good and bad (depending on your particular needs). The bad things will be the following (maybe this was not fully clear from the information published so far). There will be just a single USB-port at the rear side of the player and there will not be system-flash-memory included inside the player, so if you need to connect both system-storage usb stick and some external USB HDD and do not want to use the front USB-port for this, you will need to connect a USB-hub to the rear USB-port. The internal HDD in Base-2.0 will be pure-SATA, not USB/SATA, so HDD-hotswapping will not work (hotswapping does not work with the 8634's native IDE interface). The reason for these changes was the need to optimize the cost of the 2.0 players. I'd like everybody to be aware of these issues.

vind vooral deze opmerking goed dat ze het posten, was dus al mijn vermoeden, je kan niet EN een prijsverlaging doen EN een beter product leveren.
Ben blij met de 1.0, ik heb het donkerbruine vermoeden dat op audio/video er ook wel eens "wat" verschil kan zijn.
Jammer alleen van al de paniek en gecancelde orders.....
