In de laatste nieuwsbrief (http://www.goldmund.com/news/) van Goldmund is te lezen dat vanaf Januari 2005 ook de SR-lijn eindversterkers voorzien zullen worden van digitale ingangen. De versterkers worden uitgerust met het Alize-4 D/A circuit. Voordeel hierbij is de totale digitale verwerking van bron -> pre/pro -> versterker.

Met de uitbreiding van de SR-lijn zijn alle Goldmund versterkers nu digitaal aan te sturen, de mogelijkheid tot analoog aansturen blijft voorlopig behouden.

Tevens is er een foto te zien van de nieuwe Telos 600 mono eindversterker, dit wordt zeer waarschijnlijk de vervanger van de huidige Mimesis 29.4 mono eindversterkers.

Er zijn wat meer gegevens bekend over de Goldmund Telos-600. Het is inderdaad de vervanger voor de Mimesis 29.4 mono eindversterkers geworden met het allernieuwste JOB-5 circuit. Prijs nog niet bekend maar wel wat details:

Ook meer nieuws over de digitale versie van de eindversterker uit de SR-lijn van Goldmund.

De nieuwe versterker gaat onder de noemer SR-150 door het leven en heeft dezelfde kenmerken als de "oude" SR-2.3 eindversterker. De aanvulling op de SR-150 t.o.v. de SR-2.3 is de aanwezigheid van een digitale ingang met een "Alize-4 circuit".
Prijs ook hier nog niet bekend.

De Goldmund SR-2.3 stereo eindversterker is niet meer leverbaar. Deze is vervangen door de SR-150 met digitale ingangen.

Prijs van der SR-150 is ondertussen bekend: € 4.000,-.
Prijs van de (stereo) digitale input module voor de oudere versterkers: € 1.150,-
Prijs van de Telos-600 mono eindversterker is ook bekend: € 15.000,- per stuk

Goldmund gaat de huidige multiplayer Eidos-18 vervangen door een opvolger, het wordt de Eidos-19 en deze speler gaat ongeveer € 8900,- kosten

Eidos 19 is coming

Since its introduction 3 years ago the Eidos 18D has been the champion of the Eidos line, combining exceptional DVD Video with ultra-silent and dynamic CD and SACD playback. The Research developped around the new Eidos Reference and Eidos 36 shown us that further improvement was possible, both in Video and Audio quality. The improved model will be so much more advanced we decided to rename him Eidos 19. Modifications are essentially mechanichal, with much increased rigidity of the transport mechanism and the introduction of the Goldmund "Magnetic Damper". Outside connectivity will sacrifice to the trend in offering HDMI digital Video output instead of DVI, but that's all, the rest remaining unchanged.
Externally, the unit will be barely distinguishable from the Eidos 18D it replaces and its price will remain also unchanged.

New Eidos 36 Ultimate Universal Player

Replacing the Eidos 38D transport, the new Eidos 36 brings a lot of innovative features and is now a complete Universal player, with SACD and DVD-Audio playback capability in addition to the DVD and CD playback. Like the Eidos 38 it brings the ultimate quality to CD playback with its full Goldmund "Mechanical Grounding" construction, its unique Goldmund "Magnetic Damper", and a brand new set of D/A circuits based on Alize 5 circuits providing multi-channel CD, DVD and SACD decoding. The new output circuit is directly derived from the Eidos Reference development with a sound quality never achieved before in a player compatible with all these supports.

With a very complete set of outputs, it is equipped with the famous Goldmund progressive Video output circuit which delivers DVI, RGB and Component Video signals of unique quality.

The Eidos 19 improvements

The first update of the venerable Eidos 18D Universal Player will be available in July.
With its improved mechanism and circuitry, unchanged price and with its reputation, there is not much to say about it except that you have to see and listen for its actual performance to adopt it.
It simply replaces the 18D in our product line.



The Eidos 18, without a real market, will disappear of our lines but a new winner is coming, the Eidos 18CD, for purist only. Reading CD and SACD only, the new Eidos 18CD Player will provide a much improved CD playback with all the qualities of our higher-price models for the CD, magnetic damping, etc... Its affordable price and battleship construction will use a new transport mechanism, considerably reinforced for rigidity, and will embody much improved mechanical grounding. With an increased efficiency AC-Curator circuit built-in, it guarantees optimum reading of the CDs and SACD.

Availability is planned for August 2005.

Goldmund heeft een vervanger op de markt gebracht voor de SRM-2.3 mono eindversterker, het is de SRM-250 geworden en heeft als extra een digitale ingang. De behuizing is gehalveerd in omvang.
Prijs in Nederland nog niet bekend (de SRM-2.3 was € 3000,- per stuk)
