Het grote Dune HD SOLO 4K Topic

Bij het afspelen van een DVDrip slaat de speler veelal vast bij het overgaan naar een nieuw chapter. Mijn ouwe Base 3 speelde deze gewoon af.

Je kan dan ook geen skip doen om toch door te gaan. In het instellingsmenu  DVD Type 1 of 2 kiezen maakt niet uit. Zelfde euvel...

Deze codec kom ik al meer tegen in bluray rips van bv blindspot en vikkings, ondertitels met vlc wel te zien maar met de dune niet.

Ik dacht dat het een probleem was bij de Smart D1, maar heb het ook bij de Solo 4K die ik gisteren ontvangen heb via Wifimedia. Bij veel recente DTS-HD mkv bestanden van P2H (o.a. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) zie ik geen ondertitels, terwijl ze er met VLC wel degelijk zijn. Zijn er meer die dit probleem hebben? Hopelijk wordt dat snel opgepakt bij de volgende firmware.

      - On any device, use 3-party applications with AirPlay support to
        stream music/audio to Dune HD box.
      - On Windows PC, use iTunes application to stream music to Dune HD
        box.
      - On the client device, control music playback in various ways:
        choose tracks, switch between tracks, seek, pause/resume, adjust
        volume.
   - When AirPlay stream is played on Dune HD box, you see the following on
     Dune HD box:
      - On the TV screen: cover art and track/artist/album/genre
        information (when available).
      - For Duo4K, on the front panel display: "Track - Artist".
   - Audio is streamed in the original CD-audio quality (using Apple
     lossless codec at 44.1KHz).
   - AirPlay support can be disabled via the setting "Setup / Applications
     / AirPlay / Enabled".
   - The AirPlay device name can be customized via the setting "Setup /
     Applications / AirPlay / AirPlay Device Name". The default device name
     is "Dune (product_id ID)", where "product_id" is e.g. "duo4k" and "ID"
     is the last 4 characters of the MAC address (e.g. "97EA").

- New feature: Music playback: New GUI design of the music playback screen.
   - The new screen uses improved fonts, improved layout, shows nice
     background image and can show cover art image (when available).
   - A special screensaver version of this screen (with black background
     and moving content) (to prevent Plasma/OLED TV burn-in) is still
     available -- starts automatically on the general screensaver timeout
     (configurable in "Setup / General" menu).

- New feature: Music playback: Cover art image is automatically looked up
  and shown on the music playback screen.
   - Embedded covert art images in music files is supported.
   - External covert art images are supported -- looked up in JPG files
     residing in the same folder where music files reside; any found JPG
     file is used, with preference to JPG files having filenames similar to
     the corresponding music filenames and JPG files having commonly used
     coverart filenames such as "cover.jpg", "album.jpg", etc.

- New feature: Music playback: Extended support for CUE files.
   - CUE files can now be used not only by launching the corresponding
     audio files, but also directly, by selecting them in the file browser
     and pressing "ENTER" RC button. In this case, the playback of the
     audio file(s) referenced by the CUE file is started.
   - If a CUE file references multiple audio files, this is supported and
     handled properly.
   - If a CUE file references *.wav audio file, but the actual audio file
     is *.flac/*.ape/*.wv, this is is automatically detected and handled
     properly.
   - When multiple files are marked (or a playlist is automatically
     constructed by the pressing "PLAY" RC button on a folder or several
     marked folders), and some files in the playlist are CUE files, this is
     also supported and handled properly (even if both audio file and the
     corresponding CUE file are in the playlist).

- New feature: Duo4K: Front panel display: In playback mode, the
  information about currently played content and the current playback
  position is shown on the front panel display:
   - During the first 10 seconds, the information about the currently
     played content is shown: filename, or "Track - Artist" if audio
     tags are available.
   - After that, playback position is shown.
   - If audio tags are available, pressing "INFO" RC button toggles
     showing "Track - Artist" again.

- New feature: "Movies", "Music, "TV" buttons on Duo4K RC can now be used
  to quickly enter the corresponding main menu sections.
   - The corresponding NEC IR codes (can be used for universal RCs or for
     smart home integrations, see more information about IR codes at

- New feature: "SEARCH" RC button can be used to quickly search for movies
  in My Collection or in the global Movies database, and for

     searches for movies in the global Movies database.

  A/V receiver, and playing music files with decoded audio sent to analog
  and S/PDIF audio outputs, without the need to change any settings when
  switching between these use cases.

- Improvement: My Collection: when trying to play a movie which is located
  on a disconnected storage device, the name of the disconnected storage
  device is now shown.

- New feature: My Collection and Movies: "P+" and "P-" RC buttons can now
  be used to quickly scroll through long lists (e.g. list of persons) on
  the movie information screen.

- New feature: My Collection and Movies: Pressing "UP" RC button on the
  movie information screen when the cursor is on the top menu item toggles
  showing / hiding the menu (can be used to view the fanart background

De fantastics beast versie welke ik had had wel subs maar kan zijn dat ik een andere gedownload heb natuurlijk, maar bij die DR Strange versie had ik het ook.

De bruikbaarheid van de mediacollection/scraper overzicht is sterk verbeterd nu.
Je kan veel meer films zien op 1 scherm. Je kan met de A toets kiezen tussen allerlei formaten. Leuk.
En het bladert ook lekker vlot (met een SSD als cache).

Maar momenteel en ik heb van alles geprobeerd scaled hij de 1920x800p allemaal naar 4k
Als ik fixed 1080p doe scaled hij 4k naar 1080p

Er is geen resolutie passthrough setting volgens mij. Hij schaalt alles naar de resolutie die je instelt. Dat heeft de Dune altijd al gedaan. Met Auto gaat alles naar de hoogst mogelijke resolutie zoals de HDMI handshake het ingesteld heeft.

Dat is lastig bij verschillend bron materiaal. Ik wil bv 1080i60 materiaal ook als zodanig doorgestuurd hebben (omdat de VXP niet fatsoenlijk kan de-interlacen).

Vroeger... in de Tvix had je een tabel met instellingen, dan kon je per input resolutie kiezen welke output resolutie je wilde hebben.

Dit probleem gaat om een bepaald format genaamd vobsub en dune is hier al jaren van op de hoogte. Schijnt vanaf een bepaalde firmware versie niet meer te werken dus wellicht kan je nog terug naar een oude.

Dit kwam overigens een paar maanden geleden langs in het dune topic op tweakers.net en toen heb ik ook een aantal bestanden gedownload die problemen gaven en werkte inderdaad niet.

Dit klopt inderdaad, Vobsub werkt op Dune alleen maar in combinatie met lage resolutie materiaal (<720p). Dune lijkt er weinig tot geen prioriteit aan te geven om dit te verbeteren omdat het format bijna niet meer gebruikt wordt.

Jazeker, ik weet dat het hier los van staat maar dacht dat het misschien de moeite waard was om te proberen aangezien VXP materiaal op kan schalen naar hogere resoluties.

Helaas wel, heb het recent nog eens geprobeerd te dupliceren maar weer zonder succes. Heb er toch al een aantal gebruikers over gehoord dus er moet iets fout zitten. Een programmeur van Dune zegt dat zij ondanks dat ze het niet hebben kunnen dupliceren denken te weten dat het probleem in de Sigma SDK zit. Dit maakt het voor Dune erg moeilijk om te onderzoeken/verhelpen. Het zou dus wachten zijn op een nieuwe SDK van Sigma en dan moet de firmware hier nog op aangepast worden. Ik hoop dat ze dit snel kunnen verwezenlijken maar ik weet dat dit geen makkelijke updates zijn

Ik zag gisteravond nieuwe firmware (beta) op de Dune langskomen. Heb 'm er gelijk opgezet, maar zag zo snel nog geen nieuwe dingen.

- Fixed: When playing TrueHD/Atmos audio tracks, stuttering still could
  take place in some cases when OSD or subtitles were shown over video.

Ben nieuw op dit forum maar misschien helpt onderstaande. Heeft bij mij gewerkt.

Wellicht staan de subtitles in een verkeerde format opgeslagen.  Voor Dune moet dit 'ANSI' zijn, en werkt 'UTF-8' niet.

Even openen met een tekst editor (notepad bijv) en in de correcte 'encoding' optie opslaan.

Klopt, heb er maar een besteld, had nog een kortingscode voor gratis verzending Kijken hoe het bevalt. Als het goed gaat gaat hij mijn mede8er vervangen
