Van de bracing heb ik één uitsparing gefreesd en de ander gezaagd.
Zagen is netter.
Best inspannend trouwens. :D

Edit: frezen blijkt toch netter.

Om de bracing te frezen heb ik eerst een sjabloon gezaagd.
Dezelfde afmetingen en kan dus 1 op 1 op de te frezen plaat.
Diepte is een factor, want enkel het sjabloon is al 15 mm en ik had gekozen voor een 40 mm plaat als brace.
Leek mij wel gaaf, al is het voor bracing op die plek overkill.

Nu kan ik stellen dat mijn keuze voor een dergelijk dikke plaat niet praktisch was.
Frezen en zagen gaat zeer moeizaam en de afwerking, hoewel best goed, wordt minder dan ik van dunner materiaal gewend ben.
De 18mm frees, gekozen op lengte want 80mm, icm berken mplex werkt gewoon te traag en zwaar.
MDF ging trouwens prima.

Ik heb besloten om de bracing terug te brengen tot 27 mm en één plaat op maat besteld.
Vervolgens kan ik met een iets kortere frees en daarmee ook dunner , 8 of 10mm , frezen.

De huidige bracing verwerk ik in een later stadium tot strips ter versteviging her en der in deze of een komende kast.

Met de kopieerfrezen , lager onder en lager boven, is de 40mm bracing toch aardig strak geworden. 8)

Ik moet nog 3 uitsparingen maken in deze plaat maar wacht op 2 freesjes.

Is een andere mal met kopieerring en kleinere diameter frees niet beter ?

Hier nog niet gemeld.
Afgelopen donderdag tijdens het frezen is de alleszuiger eerst gaan smeulen, toen gaan roken om vervolgens,  eenmaal over de reling gekieperd,  te branden. Emmer water lostte het op, maar wel rook in huis en later stank.
Die is nu nagenoeg weg en de zuiger voor garantie naar bol.com


Gelijk maar een Makita besteld.  Karcher komt er niet meer in.

Kast is nu al redelijkerwijs niet meer door 1 persoon te tillen.
Baffle gaat daar nog ietsje aan toevoegen.

Werken prima.  Gewone klemmen zijn ongetwijfeld nog strakker te trekken maar mij te prijzig.

Ter illustratie:
baffle kom je niet 123 door met de bovenfrees, want net te dik . Dus met de decoupeer verder uitzagen om vervolgens met de uitloopfrees het restant
weg te nemen.
Ik heb geen werkplaats en moet dan veel schakelen en dat kost tijd.
Klaag niet, want het blijft leuk om te doen, maar het is veel meer werk.

Resultaat is echter idd bruut. :D
