Ik heb deze driver al een tijdje in gebruik in een 155 liter MDF (30/38mm) kast en ben zeer te spreken over de prestaties.

Nu start ik met de bouw van wederom een 155 liter kast, echter van berken multiplex en wel 40 mm met een baffle van 67 mm (40+27).
Dat wordt dus een supersterke kast met nog veel hogere stijfheid.

Afmetingen: 600x600x627mm (hxbxd)

Platen zijn vanochtend besteld en worden 8-2 verwacht.

Ik ben benieuwd naar:
een evt hoorbaar verschil
het verwerken van multiplex tov MDF

Ik ben ook benieuwd naar je indruk mdf vs multiplex. Ik heb mijn subs rondom met dubbelwandig MDF gemaakt en ik ben hier best tevreden mee.

Klopt, nadien.
De 21NTLW5000 is een tijdje  terug verkocht aan Flavio. Dat was een kleinere kast , 125 liter.

Mplex is behoorlijk duurder dan MDF,  bijna een factor 3. Voor mij reden om er iig niet mee te beginnen.
Ik ben ook zeer te spreken over 30 en 38 mm MDF, maar tegelijkertijd benieuwd.

Xmax is 14mm. Ik zie hem echter amper bewegen. 
Peak to peak is 70 mm, maar PA drivers krijg je moeilijk zo ver.

Wat ik er over weet is dat multiplex vooral populair is bij PA omwille van de stootbestendigheid. MDF is enkel maar geschikt voor statische opstellingen en droge ruimtes.

Verder ben ik wel geïnteresseerd in de gehele 18Sound NTLW lijn. Ze hebben blijkbaar ook kleinere woofers tot 6.5". Vooral de 8NTLW2000 intrigeert me voor LCR gebruik  :wub:

En het is lichter bij gelijke sterkte omdat je de plaat dunner kan kiezen.

Ik heb nu 3 drivers van ze in handen gehad en gehoord en het is topspul. :thumbs-up:

Denk niet dat het ooit stopt.
Laatste aanwinst op klusvlak was een Makita lamellenfrees en die wil je toch een beetje in vorm houden. :D

Klussen met goed materiaal is altijd fun  ;) Ik heb die Makita ook en ben er zeer teverden mee maar vind de stofafvoer icm stofzuiger toch wel een beetje brak.

Ik heb pas ook een oude maar nog steeds prima functionerende Makita freestafel van mijn vader afgesnoept. Plan is om midrange behuizingen met een variabele wanddikte te maken met een kopieerfrees.

En plots heb ik een bovenfrees gekocht. Reeds een tijdje in overweging, maar ik mag al een fijne DeWalt van eddy135 lenen.

Amazon.nl had een prijs, bij nog slechts 1 op voorraad  ;), die niet te weerstaan was en ik me nu ook afvraag of ze de order handhaven
of schrappen. ;D

Het gezaagde plaatmateriaal staat klaar om opgehaald te worden.
Gaat vandaag wel lukken.

Verder ben ik bezig om zelf een cirkelgeleider te maken. Dit met behulp van de bovenfrees.
Die bevalt prima.
Ik moet enkel nog een lange vingerfrees kopen om door de plaat van 40mm te komen.

Plaat van 40 mm ?

Dan zit je snel aan het einde van je maximale diepte van je frees offffff, je vingerfrees wordt erg lang ......
