Gezien dit topic https://www.htforum.nl/yabbse/index.php?topic=180219.0 mag het geen verwondering wekken dat het ook van bouw gaat komen.

Keuze voor de driver is gevallen op de 18Sound 21NTLW5000, een 21 inch driver.

Na enig gedoe met WinISD, wordt de behuizing 600x600x513 mm met een volume van 128L excl. driver.
Volume met driver en bracing 108 L.

Dan volgt : Qtc 0,677, Xmax van 17,5 mm @ 10Hz bij 2000W @ 8 Ohm.
Voor mijn bouw en vereisten prima waarden.

Versterking is er al in de vorm van Powersoft M20D. Compact, stil en krachtig.
2-Channel mode : 2x600W @ 8 Ohm, 2x1200W @ 4 Ohm.
Mono-bridged mode : 1x2400W @ 8 Ohm.

De komende tijd zal ik hier de bouw posten.



Edit voor de behuizing:
600x600x533 mm (HxBxD, met extra achterplaat)

MDF 30 mm:  2 stuks 600x470 mm (boven en onder), 2 stuks 540x470 mm (zijdes), 2 stuks 540x540 mm (achter en bracing).
MDF 38 mm: 600x600 mm (baffle).
MDF 25 mm: 600x600 mm ( extra versterking achterplaat en optioneel).

Intern volume 128,4 L zonder bracing of driver.

Na 2x18 inch gepoort bleek er toch nog wat te wensen. :D

Het MDF staat reeds in bestelling bij opmaatzagen.nl

De wanden worden 30mm, baffle 38mm.

Bracing zal 18mm zijn. Ik heb reeds 2 plaatjes bij de bouwmarkt gehaald.

Ben benieuwd hoe die het gaat doen.

Ik heb in het verleden ook wel subs gemaakt voor thuis gebruik met PA drivers (o.a. 18 inch) maar ondanks de nette simulatie viel dat vaak een beetje tegen, misschien omdat ik normaal zacht speel en zo'n PA unit toch relatief veel verliezen heeft (niet lineair).

Had toen op den duur een setje Eton 11/581 en dat pakte echt veel fraaier uit qua klank, kan alleen niet zo hard.

Kun je meer vertellen over HOE je dit doet?

Dus welke tekening vormt de basis, hoe breng je zo'n versteviging aan, hoe werk je het af, hoe krijg je de speaker netjes verzonken in de kast, welke aansluiting kies je?

De basis is wat ik kwijt kan op de plek waar de sub komt. :D
Max 700 bij 700 bij 500.

Driver uitgekozen en vervolgens in WinISD gaan modelen.
Dan kom je op een ideaal volume uit bij een gegeven vermogen van de amp en driverspecs.

Vervolgens reken ik de inhoud uit van verschillende afmetingen en vormen van de box, rekening houdend (met aftrek van) de plaatdikte.

Neutrik SpeakOn aan de rechterzijde. Beste connectievorm.

De driver wordt niet verzonken.

Redenen : werkt makkelijker, is sterker, er komt een frontje met de tijd.

Bracing : 2 stuks,beetje op maat, beetje creatief. Het gaat in de kist en je ziet er niets meer van, maar wel netjes
