Dat zit er dik in idd.
Afwerking van deze kast is dermate en de prestaties ken ik reeds van de 21".

En een korte impressie van de 18".

Ook deze driver heeft ietwat tijd nodig om los te komen.
Zit nu rond de 25 uur en waar het in aanvang allemaal nog wat geremd klonk laat de sub nu zijn kwaliteiten horen.
Slam, druk en finesse. Totaal onopvallend en grote reserves.
Vraagt weinig vermogen.
Kast doet goed zijn werk en aangezien dezelfde wanddikte is gebruikt als de 21" bij kleinere afmetingen is deze nog stijver.
Finish is een blijver. Erg fraai in mijn optiek.

Nog steeds erg te spreken over de 18 inch zelfbouw.
Speelt volop mee met de JTR zonder wanklank.

Inmiddels een 18Sound 21LW2500 in bestelling voor een 155 liter gesloten kast.
Voordeliger dan een 21NTLW5000 en geeft een prima resultaat in WinISD.

18Sound omschrijft deze driver als extended low frequency en de Fs is met 29Hz dan ook wat lager.
Ferriet motor en dus ook zwaarder.

Het is de meer geavanceerde driver van de twee en hij kan er gewoon in.
Een Qtc van 0,608 voor de 5000 vs 0,660 voor de 2500........mwah.
Geluid mbt subs/drivers ben ik altijd wat voorzichtig in.
Wat wel te omschrijven valt is extensie, druk, vervorming/gemak, slam van een systeem.
Of er veel licht zit tussen deze twee ?
Allebei erg goed.
Ik heb nu de 18NTLW5000 en blind wat welke is/was tov de 21 geen enkele kans op succes......

Afgelopen woensdag is mijn moeder, waarvoor ik al 12 jaar zorgde, op 84-jarige leeftijd zeer plots aan een maagperforatie overleden.
Ze werd fantastisch geholpen in het ziekenhuis en wij zijn daar zeer dankbaar voor.
Het wordt een fraai en opgewekt afscheid, wij hebben er zelfs zin in.

Mijn leven is nu enorm veranderd en er is uiteraard verdriet maar ook heel veel vrijheid.
Ik zie er niet tegenop. :thumbs-up:

Tsjemig Ed, gecondoleerd. Ik heb je moeder 1 keer kort mogen ontmoeten. Je vertelde toen het eea over de zorg die je over haar had. Knap, sterk, mooi dat je deze zorg zo lang hebt volgehouden.

Ik herken de vrijheid enigszins als het gaat om het overlijden van mijn moeder een kleine maand terug. Nu is mijn/onze zorg niet zo intensief geweest als die van jouw.

Neem de tijd en luister goed naar wat je lichaam zegt. Maar dat weet je wel. Als je zin hebt...de deur staat open. Of andersom..laat maar weten.
