``Austin Powers in Goldmember'' is Number One DVD

New Line Home Entertainment announced that "Austin Powers in Goldmember" continues to shine as the number one comedy of 2002. Following the release on DVD and VHS on December 3, the film featuring the shagadelic swinger shot up to number one in DVD sales for the week ending Dec. 8 according to Videoscan. Additionally, DVD and VHS sales are well on target to surpass the 14 million sales accumulated by "Austin Powers International Man of Mystery" and "Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me."

And the film continues to succeed at the box office, grossing $300 million worldwide. The film is still currently in theaters in territories. With over $213 "mil-ee-un" dollars garnered at the U.S. box office since its July theatrical release, "Austin Powers in Goldmember" reigns as the most popular Austin Powers installment to date.
