Hoi,

DVD Times

Sources close to Warner Bros. have heard that there are indeed firm plans to release a boxset containing all three Matrix films, which are as follows:

The Matrix (1999)

The Matrix Reloaded (2003)

The Matrix Revolutions (2003)

Word is that the original film will have a remastered transfer, as producer Joel Silver is unhappy with the quality of the existing release. Extras are also set for a boost, although the exact contents of the boxset remain to be disclosed.

In a recent interview with WB employees, it seems that the release may not be slated for 2004, with the boxset turning up sometime next year instead. However, pending sales of The Matrix Revolutions, it would be wise not to discount a possible 2004 Christmas release.

More news when we get it...

The set will also include The Animatrix and, according to ezyDVD the following extras:

All new documentaries
All new commentaries
All new HD film transfers
Amazing amounts of new content

The Matrix and it's extra material is expected to take up three discs, as is Reloaded while Revolutions will span two discs.
