De Penta's hebben familie op bezoek.

De nóg grotere (bijna 2 meter hóóg) Beolab 1 towers.

De Penta's werden in het jaar 2000 opgevolgd door de nog grotere Beolabs "1"

Bijna 70kg actieve speaker :blink:

Grootste verschil is de overgang naar ice power waardoor de nieuwere versie mínder lieflijk klinkt dan de Penta's.

Ben altijd heel benieuwd geweest naar de Beolabs, maar ik ben ze nog nooit tegengekomen...
Hoe klinkt dat nu? En kan je gewoon een streamer/dac/andere bron er op aansluiten?

dat kan zeker Peerless :).  Veel gebruikt combi is rechtstreeks aan de Sonos of SBT.

Ik draai één klasse hóger, via line RCA direct aan de Naim UniQute waarvan ik de eindversterkers in het menu heb uitgeschakeld. 

De driver periferie van de "1"  en Penta is overigens - ondanks beide de toplijn uit die jaren vertegenwoordigend - compleet verschillend van elkaar. Zal van beiden een foto plaatsen.

Hoe de één klinkt tov de Penta zal ik hier berichten zodra aangesloten. (Ben nu nog aan het poetsen op het blinkend aluminium van de cabinetten :D)

Een wezenlijk verschil dus....

Die van de Penta's in totaal gereviseerde en gemodificeerde vorm is mij al wel (zeer) bekend.

Kom maar op met wat je ook wilt, Kharma, B&W, Avalon......het klinkt allemaal minder.

Je zou kunnen stellen dat je beter moet prioriteren, maar ergens voel ik ook nog wel aan dat je toch maar eerst op vakantie gaat  8)
