Avid Technology, Inc. introduces its Avid Xpress DV v3, which offers more than 100 customizable real-time effects and multiple simultaneous streams in a complete, affordable DV editing studio. Scheduled to ship for the low cost of $1,699 (MSRP), first on the Windows platform and then on the Macintosh platform in mid-2002, Avid Xpress DV v3 software features Avid's internationally recognized user interface, advanced compositing features, improved DVD burning capability and expanded tool sets.
