Acer Laboratories Unveils 20X DVD-ROM Single-Chip

Acer Laboratories Inc. (ALi), has introduced the next-generation highly-integrated 20X DVD-ROM single-chip -- M5721. Following their great success in DVD-Player controller chipset market, ALi's unveiling of their newest and most advanced DVD-ROM solution, signifies their superb R&D capability in the multimedia area.

The DVD-ROM chip, M5721, which not only has integrated RF Amplifier and servo controller circuit in one single chip, but also adopts the "Smart ReadChannel" technology uniquely spearheaded by ALi. This remarkable chip reduces the complexity involved in circuit board design due to its highly integrated features and the implementation of the "Smart ReadChannel" technology, which offer customers the capability to shorten their time slot spending in adjusting data-reading quality, thus speeding up their volume productivity. With the chip's combination of supreme quality and performance, ALi leads the way in the optical storage chip industry to fulfill the market's demand for high-speed, reliable, and cost-effective solution.
