Stomp, Inc., has maximized the capabilities of its successful RecordNow MAX CD/DVD recording software with the new version 4.0.

"Our new RecordNow MAX 4.0 further simplifies the CD and DVD recording process while also increasing the power of the software," said Mike Hummell, president of Stomp, Inc. "We've again demonstrated our commitment to creating tools for the wide range of computer users by making this unique application Section 508 compliant so that is accessible to persons with disabilities."

The new RecordNow MAX 4.0 offers users a fresh new interface with fewer buttons and cleaner lines so completing their recording projects is even faster and easier. As with previous versions of RecordNow MAX, users can simultaneously record to multiple discs, creating duplicate CD copies, video CDs (VCDs), data CDs, DVDs, bootable CDs, CDs from ISO images and CDs from a live audio source. They can convert tracks from MP3, WAV and WMA formats to standard music CDs, which can be played on any audio CD player. With the included Drive Letter Access (DLA) software, users can leverage their CD/DVD recorder like a floppy or hard disk and easily drag and drop files onto their CD-RW and DVD+RW discs.

RecordNow MAX 4.0 also maximizes the quality of users' recordings with its improved MP3 ripping capabilities, ripping CD tracks into MP3 files at up to 320Kb/sec. The new version also features a DVD authoring launcher – a dynamic button for launching DVD authoring software, such as neoDVDstandard, which is included in the RecordNow MAX Platinum bundle. Current users of the RecordNow MAX product family, including RecordNow MAX 3.x or the RecordNow MAX Platinum bundle will be able to upgrade to the new version for free.

RecordNow MAX runs on PCs running Windows XP Home or Professional, 2000, ME, NT 4 with SP4 or higher, 98SE, or 95 (OSR-2), and a supported CD-Rewritable or DVD-R/RW/+RW drive. RecordNow MAX will be available at retail stores next month for a suggested retail price of $49, or available now electronically directly from the Stomp web site. Stomp offers a free, downloadable 30-day trial version of RecordNow MAX from its web site.
