Release Date Set For Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda Volume 1.3

November 19 Release For Third Volume Of The First Season Of Tribune Entertainment's Hit Television Series

HOUSTON, September 27, 2002 - ADV Films has set a street date of November 19, 2002 for the release of Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda Volume 1.3, the third of five home video releases collecting the first season of the top-rated, nationally syndicated weekly sci-fi/action program Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda, starring Kevin Sorbo. ADV is releasing both VHS and DVD versions of the title.

Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda continues to build a large, devoted fan base, proving to be a prolific source for merchandising licenses, with action figures, apparel, trading cards, calendars and other items being produced by top manufacturers. Moreover, Kevin Sorbo was recently named one of the ten most bankable stars in national syndication for the second year in a row.

Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda was developed by series Executive Producer and Head Writer Robert Hewitt Wolfe from an idea created by the late Gene Roddenberry, creator of the classic Star Trek science-fiction franchise.

Volume 1.3 Episodes: "The Pearls that Were His Eyes" (Episode 111) After Beka receives an urgent message from her beloved Uncle Sid, she and Trance go to Diphda Five to help. But Sid, once her father's former business partner, is now known as Sam Profit, a big business tycoon with a demand... the data Beka's father entrusted only to her.

"The Mathematics of Tears" (Episode 112) When Andromeda encounters her damaged sister ship, the Pax Magellanic, Dylan and the crew believe they have found others frozen in time. But a damaged AI system and a crew of androids are only a cover up... of a truth more mysterious than the lie.

"Music of a Distant Drum" (Episode 113) Humans on the planet Midden see a ship crash land. It is the Eureka Maru and inside is a bewildered Tyr, suffering a complete loss of memory - even of his name. On board is a metal crate containing something the brutal Nietzscheans who rule the planet want very badly.

"Harper 2.0" (Episode 114) Harper tries to save an injured Perseid, but the patient suddenly bites him on the neck, and dies. Soon, Harper's brain is on overload, filled with downloaded information. He loves it, until the nightmares begin and a bounty hunter arrives searching for stolen data-data that's now in Harper's brain!

Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda Volume 1.3 ($39.98 SRP DVD, $19.98 SRP VHS) contains four complete episodes of the hit series.
