“Backdraft” And “The Haunting” Announced For D-Theater™ Release

"Backdraft" and "The Haunting" will be released by Universal Studios Home Video and DreamWorks Home Entertainment, respectively, in the D-Theater™ format on September 24, 2002. The titles are available now for pre-order at www.DVHSMovieGuide.com for $39.99 each.

Each release will be presented in 1080i-mastered high-definition video, its original theatrical aspect ratio, and in Dolby Digital 5.1 ("The Haunting" will be Dolby Digital Surround EX-encoded).

D-VHS is currently the only high-definition consumer format available, and offers the increasing number of consumers with high-definition television displays the content they have been seeking.
