20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has announced three new titles to be offered on the HD-Plus D-VHS D-Theater consumer format. This new batch of releases will be released on October 1 with the titles being: "Fight Club," "Men Of Honor," and "Behind Enemy Lines." Suggested retail price will be $34.98 each (they will be available for $31.99 through the www.widescreenreview.com and www.dvhsmovieguide.com Web sites). Each title will be mastered in full 1080i resolution and with JVC's D-Theater copy protection system. In addition, each release will be presented in its original theatrical aspect ratios and in Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtracks ("Fight Club" is Dolby Digital Surround EX-encoded). No supplemental material has been scheduled to be included.

D-VHS is currently the only high-definition consumer format available, and offers the increasing number of consumers with high-definition television displays the content they have been seeking. Created by JVC specifically for copyrighted, high-value prerecorded content, D-Theater provides a state-of-the-art level of security demanded by content providers in the digital era.
