Enough Harrowing, High-Style Suspense Thriller Premieres on DVD and Videocassette Oct. 8

Culver City, Calif. (07/31/02) - Jennifer Lopez delivers an electrifying performance as a battered wife who, in order to protect herself and her daughter, transforms herself into an empowered, confident and self-contained woman in director Michael Apted's (The World is Not Enough) action drama Enough. The film debuts on DVD and videocassette Oct. 8. Working-class waitress Slim (Lopez, The Wedding Planner) finds herself transformed when she marries Mitch (Billy Campbell, TV's Once and Again), a wealthy contractor. She settles into an idyllic suburban life and seems to have everything she wants's a loving husband, a beautiful home and Gracie, an adorable 5-year-old daughter.

But her dream is shattered when she discovers her husband is anything but perfect. His sudden violently abusive behavior, as well as his infidelities, force Slim to take Gracie and go on the run, eluding an increasingly obsessive Mitch and his lethal henchmen. Just when Slim thought she had successfully started a new life, Mitch reappears and the threats begin all over again. With nowhere to turn for help, Slim is forced to fight back, engaging Mitch in a physical and psychological battle and showing him that she has had Enough.

Enough marks an electrifying change of pace for Jennifer Lopez as she takes on a role that is at once filled with extreme physical action and features a woman's remarkable internal shift from maximum fear to maximum strength. Lopez was initiated into the potent fighting form of Krav Maga, considered to be one of the world's most effective and deadly martial arts, which was originally developed by the Israeli military in part to give their women soldiers the ability to defend themselves in even the most excruciating hand-to-hand combat.

Enough: A Columbia Pictures presentation of an Irwin Winkler Production. Also stars Juliette Lewis, Dan Futterman and Noah Wyle. Produced by Irwin Winkler and Rob Cowan. Written by Nicholas Kazan. Directed by Michael Apted.
