Miami Vice Movie In The Works – Mann Directing

They say it is too early to throw away your socks and don a pale blue Versace linen suit but what the hell do "they" know? Daily Variety reported last Thursday that Michael Mann has agreed to bring back the trend setting crime story, Miami Vice for the silver screen. Reports say that Philip Michael Thomas and Don Johnson will not be getting the call however you never know who will appear in a cameo.

A modern Miami Vice will offer the chance to highly stylize a fast-pace crime story – a format that worked fantastically in Heat and was the core of the Miami Vice TV show. The possibilities for scantily clad women, exotic cars and drug deals are enough to get me in the mood for som popcorn and sticky theater floors. Anyone want to start camping out in from of Mann's Chinese Theater for the next 9 months or so until the new Vice hits the screen?

Heb al een hele tijd geen MV meer gezien, maar was er vroeger helemaal gek van. Lijkt me een intressant project.

Inderdaad, vond het ook altijd waanzinnig gaaf enzo, heb nu ook de serie op DVD.
Maar wel vind ik het jammer dat ze Philip Michael Thomas en Don Johnson niet meer nemen voor de film.
Nou, we zien het wel.
