Via audiomarkt reststukken van Heavens Gate Silver Signature MKII gekocht.
Deze speakerkabel kost €3.500 nieuw (oud model).

En... wat zit erin? Hoe is deze opgebouwd? En waarom is deze zo duur?

De lagen van buiten naar binnen:
1. Zwarte sierkous
2. Zwarte afvoerpijp voor wasmachine
3. Gevlochten afscherming (ik denk van vertind koper)
4. Zwarte afscherming, beetje krimpkous achting, zo dun... absoluut geen teflon
5. Gevlochten afscherming, zie 3.
6. Zwarte afscherming, zie 4.
7. Gevlochten afscherming, zie 3.
8. 2 x 6 aders solid core verzilverd koper (niet gevlochten of getwist, gewoon naast elkaar parallel)

That's it....

Logisch dat ze op hun website niets zeggen over hun gebruikte materialen en configuratie.

The Silver Signature Speaker Link MK II transfers the full power of the music along with the finest nuances of instrumental timbre and recording venue. With our stringent requirements for parts selection and matching, the precision placement of all conductors, insulations and shields, the slow and careful assembly, and the many measurements taken to verify performance, it takes longer to hand-make a pair of Silver Signature Speaker Link MK II than some companies need to build an amplifier.

The 'center' of the Silver Signature Speaker Link MK II uses 12 massive, silver-plated LCS-Copper conductors with a special polished surface and carefully aligned into a 4x3-Matrix. Each conductor is insulated using our proprietary PFA material. This combination allows us to control the inductance, capacitance and restistance of the cable resulting in a full bodied natural sound while maintaining excellent high frequency characteristics.

One of the problems we have found with most loudspeaker cables is a lack of a full bodied sound at low listening levels resulting in a "thin" mid bass which is unnatural in live music.

Whenever a conductor is insulated, this insulation stores and releases a part of the signal energy, resulting in audible distortion. To insulte the conductors used for the Silver Signature Series we are using PFA - a material similar to PTFE (Teflon®) but with less dielectric absorption and better mechanical damping properties.


Active-Shield-Matrix
A total of five shields, each one optimized for the diameter it is used for and separated by insulation build the Active-Shield-Matrix to protect the signal against any noise pollution such as EMI, ESI and RFI.

The Silver Signature Speaker Link is terminated with heavy non-magnetic rohdium-over-silver plated copper connectors: 7mm Spades, 9mm Spades or Banana plugs.

Bi-wire and Bi-amping versions are available.

Waarom zilver shielding? Raadselachtig...

ik ben de laatste om je tegen te spreken vwb de opbouw van deze kabel en alle gebakken lucht die daaromtrent veelvuldig verkocht wordt, maar...wie verzekerd je dat jij nu "the real thing" in handen hebt gekregen?

ik bedoel maar...er is een behoorlijke handel qua namaak in dat soort esoterische kabels, dus 't zou me niets verbazen als het stuk wat je hebt gekocht ook niet echt blijkt te zijn.

Weten we nooit 100% zeker inderdaad.
Heb alle stukken van de 2 x 4,5 meter origineel.
Dus ook de uiteinden met bedrukking en de spades, etc.
