Ook de MM 8077 is niet "truly balanced" opgebouwd. Het is wel een goed design en klasse A/B.

Op de prepros zouden meer kanalen geen probleem mogen zijn , wel wat extra kosten misschien.
Echter voor de receivers betekent dit een flink aantal extra power kanalen, dat gaat ze niet lukken.
Ik vermoed dat bij 95% van de hometheaters 13 kanalen wel voldoende is  :D
De overige 5% mag dan naar de highend oplossingen zoals Trinnov en consorten.

The second improvement is in the regulation of the reference voltage, which is 5V. Again, stable is better. The AV7703 uses a 5V regulator. Noise and 60Hz on the 5V line are reduced. Generally this is good enough and is a typical design. The same arrangement is used in the AV8802a. The AV7704 first uses a 7V regulator, which of course cuts the voltage to 7V, and cuts noise, and 60Hz and multiples. After the 7V regulator a 5V regulator then removes most all of what little is left and sets the output to 5V. The 5V regulator is presented with a steady 7V so its performance should be excellent. This "belt and suspenders" approach is not common.

Taken together the two improvements in the reference voltage quality are significant from a technical standpoint. Of course the improvements take a good product and make it better. How much of the improvement that is likely in measured sound quality can be heard is always a question with these already good products, but these changes do show Marantz's efforts at product improvement.

De av8805 zou er komend zomer zijn.

Krijg nu al een veto van mijn vriendin, want de twee extra kanalen zijn vloerspeakers die links en rechts schuin voor staan en daar loopt iedereen langs in onze woonkamer HT  ;D
Als het twee extra plfondspeakers waren was het geen probleem geweest.

Eerst lezen dan pas klagen ;)
Volgens mij staat op AVS dat 7.1.6 mogelijk is metde juiste atmos licentie. Ik neem dat ze dat nog wel regelen. 9.1 op de vloer heeft niemand wat aan. Maar 9.2.4 schijnt ook wel te kunnen met de av8805.

Is er ook al een (advies) prijs bekend van de AV8805 voor de EU?  4000 US$ had ik dacht ik ergens gelezen of klopt dat niet?

Even hier de vraag of het al mogelijk is om een complete backup van de 7703 settings te maken via USB ?
Was nl beloofd.

Ik ga in nieuw huis maar rekening houden met 6 hoogte kanalen en dan maar kijken naar een 8805.

Vandaag sinds 6 maanden weer eens 2 films gekeken :)
