De Atlas Hypers zijn nog steeds in beeld.

Inmiddels de vraag uitstaan bij Atlas over 2.0 vs 3.5.
De 3.5 heeft beter laag, maar dat gaat hier naar de subs en het zou best kunnen dat 2.0 voor mains en subs afdoende is.
Of 2.0 mains, 3.5 subs.

3.5 op allen werd geadviseerd.
Prijsverschil is ook niet dusdanig dat ik daarover ga vallen. Binnenkort eens bestellen.

Wel een power/battle rope gekocht omdat ik ook wel eens buiten wil sporten.
Uiteindelijk voor de hennep ATX gekozen ivm grip ( fijn materiaal en grove twist ) , diameter (40mm) , gewicht (13 kg), natuurproduct en prijs ( 40 mm polyester is ruim €100 duurder).

Battle rope is weer retour gegaan, hennep is erg stoffig. :D
Power Guidance, Amazon topper , er voor in de plaats.

Op UHD weer eea aangeschaft, dat wegens afloop van de sportzomer, nu in beeld komt.

300 op UHD als eerste en dat blijft, ondanks de 0,0 diepgang, een genot in beeld én geluid.
Agressieve Atmos mix en de intro smeekt om reference level. Donder en bliksem uit alle hoeken. :headbanging:

300 op UHD is best lekker inderdaad, pas nog samen met de vrouw gekeken hier :)

En die Atlas Hypers ook prima kabels hoor, gebruik zelf de 3.5 voor de LCR en de 2.0 voor de surrounds

Ah, het lijken mij prima kabels voor een nog redelijk bedrag. :thumbs-up:

Maar ja, nieuwe eettafel eea aan kleding omdat ik er in positieve zin in bekneld raakte en voor dat je het weet zit je op de lange baan. ::) :D

Wat ook meespeelt is dat ik nu al vaak denk "WTF?" mbt hoe het klinkt. :lookaround:

(En ik weet waar ik vandaan kom met LSkabels van 5000plus.Dat maakt het des te leuker met de huidige 10€ p/m.)

En volkomen terecht.

Op UHD is het beeld niet zozeer scherper, maar HDR dat de show steelt. Enkel al de mantels/capes...... :headbanging:

Hmmm, de LS kabels gaan even op hold aangezien ik plots de optie heb om een derde subwoofer te plaatsen.

Voorheen was de eettafel een sta-in-de-weg maar de nieuwe is akoestisch transparant en de lange kant icm met de Captivators geeft een
prachtige RoomSim in REW (in mijn ruimte behoorlijk accuraat).

Arendal lijkt mij wel wat en dan de 1723 1S of 1V.

Termijn is wat ongewis, maar plannen kan geen kwaad. :)

Mogelijk al opgevallen : https://www.htforum.nl/yabbse/index.php?topic=180219.0.

Ik ga dus zelf bouwen voor de derde subwoofer.

De driver wordt een 18sound 21NTLW5000 8 Ohm.
Kast: 600x600x500 mm MDF.

Versterking heb ik reeds in de Powersofts en de vraag is nu hoe in te zetten.
Meest recente optie is één M20D in bridgemode op de nieuwe sub en één in stereo op de twee JTRs.

De 18Sound kan 2000W aan tot Xmax ( @ 10Hz ) en de JTRs zijn in 4 Ohm te zetten, goed voor 2x1200 ipv 1x2400W uit één M20D.

De bouw is voltooid en de Maximus maakt inmiddels deel uit van mijn set.
Positie van de sub is achter en onder de eettafel, korte wand van de ruimte.
REW gaf aan middels de roomsim-functie, dat respons van een sub op die plek icm de JTRs gunstig uit zou pakken.
Ik had ook één JTR kunnen verplaatsen ware het niet dat die echt te groot wordt daar.

Op de vraag van TimvG wat ik verwachtte van een derde sub antwoordde ik : "Een derde, juist op die positie , geeft een mooiere respons zonder correctie.
Ik verwacht nog meer omvang, mogelijk meer druk, en laat mij verrassen door de totale weergave."

De sub speelt nu een weekje en hier mijn indrukken:

De Maximus heeft een hoger rendement dan mijn Captivators en volgt de gebruikelijke langzame rolloff van een gesloten sub zonder opmerkelijke
pieken of dalen.
De behuizing is erg stabiel en valt ook tijdens luide weergave niet op door resonanties.
De kleur is een voltreffer op die plek.

Dan de weergave, eerst voor enkel de Maximus.
Voor mij het herkenbare geluid van een grote driver: veel gemak zowel in dynamische als rustiger passages.
De ruimte wordt goed gevuld.
Mazzeltje is dat niets in die hoek, tafel of stoelen, resoneert.
Respons komt goed overeen met de roomsim van REW.

Weergave Maximus icm met de rechter JTR, in hoek.
Bizar goed, fenomenaal. Ruimte wordt groter, druk is alom, dynamiek is WOW, gemak slaapverwekkend.
De respons is nu behoorlijk vlak icm met een lichte housecurve onder de 40 Hz.
Fraai is dat het laag in de gehele ruimte beter is verdeeld dan voorheen met 2 JTR's, ook als ik nu wat naar voren leun vanaf de MLP.
De vraag is of de tweede JTR wat toe gaat voegen.....

Conclusie:
voorlopig een mooi resultaat met 2 subs op de juiste posities. Erg tevreden.

Een 2e JTR ? Meer druk.

Bij mij was het doel met 1,2,3,4 subs ook: zo min mogelijk correctie. Bij 2 subs was dat doel eigenlijk wel behaal. Een 3e en 4e voegt dan in mijn ervaring alleen druk toe. En dat is heeeel erg fijn. :D

Maar totaal niet nodig. In ieder geval niet in mijn geval...want ik draai alleen muziek.

Ik heb nu een soort van 10 subs.  :D

Maar minder druk dan met de 4 subs. Dat geweld was legendarisch, zeker tegen de 100dB aan.

Ondertussen staat de 21" bij Flavio,  8), en is de 18" kast klaar.

Deze keer heb ik als finish de Raptor black gebruikt.
Het werkt niet makkelijk, want hardt supersnel en stinkt tot en met, maar het resultaat is prima.
Spijkerhard en mooi ruw.

Driver is besteld dus ik verwacht eind deze week een werkende 18" gesloten sub in huis. :thumbs-up:
