Culver City, CA (02/06/02) - On April 9, 2002, Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment will proudly present Shiri "a tingling espionage tale" (The New York Times) on DVD and videocassette. A thriller that smashed the Korean attendance record set by James Cameron's Titanic. Shiri is the must successful picture in Korean box office history. Directed by award-winning director Je-gyu Kang.

Synopsis: A phantom sniper methodically assassinates key figures in a South Korean intelligence investigation. Special agent Ryu and his partner Lee suspect North Korea's most lethal female operative Hee. When a security breach prompts the theft of high-tech liquid explosive CTX from South Korean authorities, Ryu and Lee are certain there's a mole within their ranks.

Ik niet,

Maar er komen de laatste tijd (dankzij DVD) erg veel oosterse films uit, en ik moet eerlijk zeggen dat inderdaad een groot gedeelte ZEER goed is.

Het is alleen wel radicaal anders dan de Hollywood films, veel rauwer en harder.
