Kan iemand mij uitleggen wat nu precies de Dirac Live Bass Control Single Subwoofer licentie brengt ten opzichte van de standaard AV40?

Vindt eerlijk gezegd de beschrijving die Dirac zelf geeft wel heel erg karig en vaag, en aangezien ik zaterdag een AV40 op ga halen kan ik vooralsnog ook niet inschatten in hoeverre je wat mist met de standaard AV40 met een enkele sub.

I added the DLBC license when I had only one subwoofer, and the improvements were not night and day in the bass, but consistent at the crossovers (checked with REW: significantly more linear for all channels, with no dips or less dips in those regions). Also, I bought the multisub license directly, because I had already decided to buy a second sub in the future (and by doing so I spent less than buying the single sub license, adding the multisub one later).
With 2 (or more) subs, the improvements are night and day, even in the bass region.

Ik kwam deze post nog tegen.

"The internal bass management on the Arcam is disabled when the DLBC filter is active on the unit. The Arcam includes an individual processing chain for the DLBC which includes the Linkwitz-Riley filters, allpass filters, gains, and delays which is only active when the BLDC filter is active. For this chain to work properly the internal Bass Management on the Arcam must be disabled and all speakers will, therefore, be set to Large.
We will check with Arcam and see if we can display the real c/o values instead of displaying Large"

Nog geen tijd gehad om het volledig uit te kijken, maar dit lijkt op een goede uitleg over wat Bass Control doet.
