Following the successful release of the 1 Giant Leap CD this past April, Palm Pictures will release the highly-anticipated DVD for the collaborative visual/audio project -- 1 Giant Leap -on September 10th .
1 Giant Leap is a unique fusion of music, words, global rhythms and images from around the globe. Created by musicians/filmmakers Jamie Catto (Faithless) and Duncan Bridgeman, 1 Giant Leap is a collaborative CD/DVD project from Palm Pictures. Armed with a laptop computer, a digital video camera and a 6-month open-ended plane ticket, Catto and Bridgeman traveled the world -- from Kenya to India to Australia to the UK -- digitally capturing the unique sounds, images and spoken words of some of the most creative and influential artists, authors, spiritual leaders, and musicians, and editing the material on the fly. This special DVD features thought-provoking and inspiring music and commentary from Michael Stipe, Kurt Vonnegut, Tom Robbins, Anita Roddick, Robbie Williams, Dennis Hopper, Brian Eno, and many others. Divided into 12 distinct chapters highlighting the global human experience through the exploration of themes such as Money, Time, God, Sex, Confrontation, Death and Unity, the result is a groundbreaking and powerful visual/audio presentation (DVD format) that celebrates the unity in the world's many diverse cultures.
1 Giant Leap is a truly unique and personal DVD experience, allowing the viewer to make their own experience.
