Speaker specialist Monitor Audio has unveiled its new Apex speaker range featuring its award-winning Platinum, GS and RX hi-fi speaker tech in the A10, A40 and AW-12 models that can be mixed in any combination to suit the surrounding environment.
All three are crafted from rigid die-cast aluminium and coated in black or white metallic high gloss lacquer with brushed metal alloy side trims.
The A10 and larger A40 models are satellite speakers supplied with wall brackets (a floor stand is available for the A10 too) while the AW-12 is a 500W RMS active sub.
The A10 is an ultra-compact sat for use as an audiophile mini-monitor or as part of the larger system, features include 140mm C-CAM bass/midrange driver with RST profile cone technology, 25mm gold dome tweeter and magnetic shielding.
The A40 can be used vertically or horizontally as the main speaker in a multi-channel set-up and features 25mm C-CAM gold dome tweeter, two C-CAM bass/midrange drivers with RST profile cone technology and magnetic shielding.
The AW-12 active sub is newly designed and sports a 12in C-CAM front firing driver with 500W Class D purpose built amplifier, 30mm MDF construction, high efficiency switch mode, dynamic power limiter, top-mounted control panel for volume and pre-set EQ features, on/off/auto switch and 12V trigger switching input.
Available from March, the A10 retails at £250 each, the A40 at £400 each and the AW-12 at £900 each with the optional A10 stand £250 per pair.

Ik vind de Vector al leuk (http://www.monitoraudio.co.uk/products/vector (http://www.monitoraudio.co.uk/products/vector)) maar de Apex ziet er goed uit.
De subwoofer is mij iets te rond, maar de center is interessant, ben heel benieuwd naar de geluidskwaliteit.
