Je had toch de Envy Pro en de Envy Extreme ?
En deze Envy Extreme Mk2 vervangt dan de voormalige Envy Extreme ?
Ik zie dat de kast gewijzigd is. Is dit een hardware matige upgrade verder ? Andere HDMI input kaart en nieuwere GPU ? Ik zie 8k input ook nu dus de input kaart zal wel vernieuwd zijn.
Ik vind op de website zo niet wat er verder verbeterd is tov de 'oude' envy extreme.
Mk2 klinkt niet als een hele grote verandering. Dezelfde vraag als Riwi... wat is het verschil met de vorige versie?
En nog steeds nog maar één enkele in- en output
Er zitten natuurlijk nog wel enkele ongebruikte slots om dit modulair op te scalen in de toekomst 8)

Waarom zou je meerdere inputs willen? De Envy werkt met virtual inputs (profielen) hiermee kan je voor eender welke bron oneindig veel combinaties maken wat instellingen betreft.
Ik denk dat Leo bedoelt dat er meerdere hdmi imputs ontbreken en een aparte audio uitgang zodat hij niet perse 'na' de audio processor moet... net zoals Lumagen dat heeft. Athans dat principe.

Maar dan nog: waarom zou je dat willen?

Mijn theorie is om zo min mogelijk schakelingen/tussenkomst van apparaten in je videosignaal te hebben en zo ook het videosignaal en het audiosignaal van elkaar te scheiden als dat mogelijk is.
De Envy is duidelijk ontworpen om tussen een AV-processor of -ontvanger en het scherm/tv te zitten.
Met de Lumagen heb je zo'n tussenkomst niet en kan je rechtstreeks diverse bronnen aansluiten en deze dan ook direct naar je projector/tv sturen.
Of je dit voordeel ziet in de praktijk en terug ziet in betere beeld en audio prestaties kan ik niet beoordelen want ik heb deze machines nooit naast elkaar mogen aanschouwen.
Maar in theorie zou dit een voordeel 'moeten' (kunnen) zijn... ;)
