Wadia 121:

Wadia's iTransport was a big hit at last year's show, so they are back this year with a pile of new products.

Using the same form factor as the iTransport is the new Series 1 121 DAC/pre. Two versions will be available: $999 for the basic unit and $1,499 for the base unit plus a built-in headphone amp designed by Ray Samuals.

Coupled with the iTransport, this would be a compact way to integrate a music server, disc player or other sources. Both products sport USB, Toslink and Coax inputs as well as stereo balanced XLR and RCA outputs. Don't get too excited yet, however, Wadia's Brent Sitterley says the 121 won't be available until the second half of 2009.

Wadia 381:

Here is Wadia's new 381 Integrated CD Player, which retails at $6,950 and offers the same performance of the company's 581se minus SACD playback.

The new player utilizes the DigiMaster 2.5 Up-sampling Algorithm and ClockLink jitter reduction system.

Wadia 571:

Wadia is also showing the new 571 CD transport at &7,950 and is also slated for a March ship date.

Wadia 922:

8 DACs per channel and upsampling to provide a 2,8224MHz data rate with 26-bit resolution from a standard CD. Retail is $33,450 and availability will be March.

Wadia is building on the success of the 170iTransport with the 151Digital Amplifier (left) and 121Decoding Computer. The 151' has a class-D-based amplifier, volume control, and a built-in DAC that accepts up to a 24-bit/96kHz signal via a USB input. Interestingly, the 151' only accepts a digital signal; there are no analog inputs. The 121' is a DAC with volume control featuring Wadia's DigitalMaster technology that operates at 24-bit/705kHz. As with the 151', the 121' has a 24/96 USB input. Both units have a cast-aluminum chassis and are expected to be priced at $1000 or less when released.

Ik blijf dit een van de meest waanzinnige ontwerpen vinden, magnifiek!

Daar zou je toch een witte steriele kamer willen hebben, met alleen een meubel met een Wadia opstelling (alleen jammer van die Acoustiek )

Ik heb ooit eens een Wadia / Krell opstelling geluisterd, ben alleen kwijt wat ik ervan vond.

You get the same SwiftCurrent 3 Discreet current to voltage conversion, isolated internal power supplies and Clocklink jitter reduction as the 581se CD Player. The 381 CD Player is the first Wadia CD Player to play some of today's formats from your download collection like FLAC, MP3 and WMA.

The 381i CD Player adds a digital input board with four inputs and outputs. This incredible digital to analog converter allows you to bypass the mundane D to A converters in sources, such as - DVD players, computers, digital satellite/cable boxes, and experience the captivating sound of Wadia. Het Wadia 170iTransport heeft van menig iPod een hoogwaardige muziekserver weten te maken. Voor het eerst werd het mogelijk om de digitale uitgang van de iPod te gebruiken om zo de inferieure DAC chip in de iPod te omzeilen. Met het 170iTransport aangesloten op de digitale ingang van een CD speler of bijvoorbeeld een surroundversterker ontstaat een geluidskwaliteit die ronduit verbazingwekkend is. Tijdens de CES toonde Wadia een tweetal prototypes die de 170iTransport zullen completeren; een compacte DAC met intere volumeregeling en en DAC met geintegreerde versterker. De laatst genoemde kunnen wij nu aan u voorstellen. - de Wadia 151 PowerDAC



De Wadia 151 PowerDac is een compacte Digitaal naar Analoog omzetter met geïntegreerde versterker in dezelfde afmetingen als het 170iTransport.
