Vandaag een lekker druk eerste kerst dagje ...eerst een paar uurtjes aan de SPdif gewerkt..daarna 14 km hard gerend (voor mijn CPC) en nu familie gaan ontvangen en eten maken...... :P

Ook nog even een fotootje van mijn mooie transformators...een voor de Chip, een voor de Motoren en een voor de SPdif (De clock heeft zijn eigen PSU)....

Maar iedereen zit aan de Tiramisu met eiswein en het klinkt tevreden....(achtergrond met een dvd spelert met easy listening kerstmuziek....

Gisteren en vandaag weer bezig geweest met de SPdif en Clock....en de Led-supply gelijk ook weer wat netter opgebouwd...dus de laatste loodjes...

Voor het stukje SPdif-draad gebruik ik Duelund, de clock kwam al met mooie afgeschermde bedrading voor naar de print dus die heb ik weten in te korten tot een derde van zijn lengte....

Langzaam kan ik de PiTbull weer in elkaar gaan zetten...

Vandaag de externe bedrading gedaan.
Ik was hier heel veel tijd aan kwijt omdat ik per se de vroegere aders weer wilde gebruiken...elke ader is van zilver omwikkeld met rijstpapier en zijde en katoen...was op zich al een week-end werk..

Enfin het is gelukt alles doorgemeten en ziet/hoort  :xmas: er goed uit...ook twee gewone aders voor de gloeidraden erbij gedaan en nieuwe Neutrikkers (meerpoligen) voor de oplettende kijker...as long as it is black... :hehe:

Vandaag het "loodblok" klaar gekregen.

Deze keuze was meer optisch maar en passant maakt hij het rack natuurlijk rustiger en meer massa.
Daarnaast komt hij iets hoger wat het cdtje opzetten weer wat vergemakkelijkt...kortom genoeg redenen om deze investering te doen (omkleed met ebben) en tijd in te stoppen (weer wat uurtjes lijm zaag en schuurwerk)...

Ben tevreden met het eindresultaat en heb hem er al proef op gelegd..(moeten jullie nog even wachten  ;))

Tevens een beginnetje gemaakt met de Acoustic Dimension customized trafo's deze heb ik laten zakken in een siliconen badje waar( na droging) de trillingen geabsorbeerd kunnen worden (volgens mij ooit een tip geweest van Triode Dick)...de aansluitingen zijn bedraad met massief zilver omwikkeld met rijstpapier/zijde/katoen....(behalve de 6.3 Voltlijn) ....het gaat voorspoedig....

(op deze foto ben ik halverwege...genoeg voor vandaag in ieder geval   ;))

Het heeft even geduurd maar dat kwam omdat we een probleem moesten oplossen..waar ik al wat langer naar zocht....in de verkeerde hoeken (wel weer veel van geleerd).

Teddy Pardo had gezegd geen elco voor zijn superreg te willen......nou WEL dus anders lever je veel te veel voltage in en krijg je niet meer de juiste voedingsspanningen.

Gelukkig had Peter het probleem snel door en konden de laatste puntjes op de i gezet worden.....

Het loopwerk heeft nu van kaasplank naar plm. 100 kg "altaartje" een ongekende mechanische verandering ondergaan wat gelijk terug te horen is in "rust" en stabiliteit in het stereo beeld.

Daarnaast is alle bedrading meer dan gehalveerd in de nieuwe behuizing en voorzien van Duelund Zilver en Acoustic Dimension trafos, ik hoef je niet te vertellen dat je dat meteen oppakt  ;)

Verder alles een eigen koperen behuizing gekregen en een 220v Oyaide met eigen groep....dus niet alleen visueel is hij er op het overbouw moment er nu op vooruit gegaan...

Inspelen zal wel meevallen omdat het merendeel al weken/maanden aan heeft gestaan.... ;D

Een beetje nieuwsgierig geworden door een post van Rudy waarin hij Tibi citeert. ;D

Tibi (Vicol) heeft op de lasercasing een smd X5R 100nF vervangen door een poly propyleen cap.
Hij zweert dat het zijn beste mod ooit is.

Het gaat hier om een cap tussen de 1nF en 100nF.
Hij heeft wat merken en waarden getest.

Arcotronics PET - very good bass extension, very musical
Wima PET - good bass, but not as Arco
CD silver-mica 1nF - the best so far
0.1uF tantalum - good resolution but dry

Uiteindelijk vond hij de Vishay MKP 1837 het meest gebalanceerd en de Mica wat meer gefocussed klinken.....kwestie van smaak ....beland je dan in.

Ik wil dat zelf "ontdekken" dus een beginnetje gemaakt vandaag....
