En volgens mij heeft de speler geen HDMI 2.0, maar blijft voorlopig steken met 1.4, dus maximaal 30fps

Als de software maar niet zo crappy is als die van de open hour van popcornhour. Xbmc schijnt nog geen dtsmaster dolby HD te spelen.

Echter als je puur specs gewijs kijkt, is deze player veel te duur.
Andere spelers die dezelfde chip hebben en net hetzelfde kunnen voor half de prijs.

In hoeverre word dit de tegenhanger van de aangekondigde Open Hour Chameleon speler,van deze speler is ook niet bekend dat deze HDMI 2.0 aan boord heeft...heeft dan wel een quadcore chip

Op het xbmc forum kun je heel veel lezen omtrent deze playrs, de open hour belooft echt niet  veel goeds... en kan idd zelfs geen hd audio (tot nu toe)
Mensen die hem reeds in bezit hebben, hebben hun review daar gezet.

De Vidonme player, zou voorlopig de enige zijn die xbmc en 3d iso kan afspelen, maar die heeft dan weer andere problemen lol

Openhour is trouwens based op de Rockvhup RK3288 chip, die is quadcore Cortex-A17 series CPU lopend op 1.8GHz en ARM Mali-T764 GPU
Die kan hdmi 2.0 hebben,  maar daarom doen ze het niet allemaal

Voorlopig geen HD surround op de zappiti, de Fransen hebben wel een prototype draaien die het kan maar die zou niet kosjer zijn qua licenties. Hij kan meerdere weergave frequenties aan (niet enkel 60Hz) maar dat is voorlopig volledig gelinkt aan resolutie. Standaard upscaling naar 4k is 30Hz, voor 60Hz moet die terug naar 1080p.
Behalve xbmc worden nog andere Android apps ondersteund.

Waarom komen bedrijven nou gewoon niet met een 4k speler die wel de juiste tools aan boort heeft?
Waarom niet gelijk een bouwen met hdmi 2.0 etc etc

Momenteel Heb je de 2 interessantste chips realtek 1195 en rockchip 3288
Verder dan dat is er niks!
Zoiezo wordt alles android, dat zie je zo al.

Ik vrees dat zappiti hier ech niet goed aan doet. Los daarvan zou je moeten dom zijn voor zappiti te gaan terwijl alle andere spelers based op de realtek net hetzelfde doen voor half de prijs.
Enkel voor zappitis gui het dubbele te betalen is me te gek voor woorden.

Firmware staat nog bij beide spelers in kinderschoenen.
Ze beloven allemaal hd audio en 3d maar er is nog geen enkele die beide kan met de huidige firmware.

De codecc kosten houden ze ook het liefst verborgen volgens mij.
Je ziet dat ook met Atmos,  auro3d nu, de een vraagt 149 € er voor Auro3d de ander 2500€

De standaard Dolby en DTS HD codecs kosten denk ik niet heel veel.

Ik snap dat wel.  De ene fabrikant zet duizenden apparaten om, en de ander als ze geluk hebben een paar honderd.   De implementatiekosten om het op hun platform betrouwbaar werkzaam te krijgen zullen niet veel verschillen.

Ik begrijp niet waarom ze niet even wachten tot geheel duidelijk is wat de specificaties van hdmi 2.0 zijn.

€114 is niet duur voor deze speler, jammer dat alles uit china zo onbekend is, toch?

Nu een nuc kiezen is immo niet zo slim. We staan op punt van een nieuwe generatie.
De zappiti heeft niks meer met dune te maken
