XT32 heeft zijn werk gedaan vanmiddag ( gister al de center geplaatst).

De subs kunnen middels wat tweaken via de Dual Core nog wat gebruiken merk ik al, maar voor de rest ben ik diep onder de indruk.
Reference level klinkt nog meer relaxed en gecontroleerd. Met ruime marge tov de vorige setup.

Ik vraag mij nu af wat ik meer kan wensen.  8)

HT is dus naar wens, maar stereo is op het moment toch wel minder.

Er zit een dip in de respons 75-90, zeer waarschijnlijke 1/4 WL destructieve interferentie,
maar ook de Marantz is uiteraard geen Linn DS.

Bij de eerdere opstelling stereo met Powersofts was ik best tevreden over stereo , dus kan zijn dat er wat speelt.
Mogelijk de aanwezigheid van de center.
Daarentegen stond die er ook al tijdens de DS periode.

Of dat ik nu even moet draaien ipv streamen.

Hmm, de draaitafel doet het wel wat beter dan de Oppo als loopwerk op de Marantz. :D :music:
Klinkt prima.

De eerste demo aan een vriend (kent mijn set vrij goed )was best lachwekkend.
Nu het zo klinkt is de maat redelijk zoek.
Fluitend gemak zonder enig storend moment bij referentieniveau. :devil:
Ik zat dichter bij de linker surround en waar het daar (kennelijk) voorheen wat schel kon klinken is bij hoog volume is ook dat weg.

Ik puzzel wat mbt de redenen voor het verschil.

Andere interlinks voor de fronts , surrounds en tops.
Respectievelijk Nordost Tyr en Mogami Gold.

Andere LS kabel. VanDamme ipv Nordost Tyr.

Alles is nu XLR.

Geen A/D omzetting op de fronts meer, alhoewel de TDAi daarin zeer transparant was.

Gain van de amps is aan te passen.
De levels van de speakers lopen daarmee tijdens een XT32 meting amper nog uiteen.
Voorheen moest met name de center aangepast worden na een XT32 sessie.

Eerst bd in de comp kopen,dan kan de dune ze gewoon afspelen.

De hoofdzekering is 40A.
Er kan dus max 8.8 kW over de lijnen.

Versterkers bufferen uiteraard middels elco's en dan zijn dit de specs:
M20D  65A peak   ( volledig : http://www.powersoft-audio.com/en/touring/m-series#M20D)
M28Q  60A peak   (volledig : http://www.powersoft-audio.com/en/touring/m-series#M28Q)

Ik geloof nooit dat dit hét verschil tov de vorige setup kan maken aangezien de JTRs absoluut niet moeilijk doen.
Beter matchende levels tijdens de XT32 meting ligt meer voor de hand.

De balans.

HT twee stappen vooruit. Wat onverwacht.

Stereo 1,5 stap achteruit. Verwacht alhoewel de proefopstelling in stereo van een maand of wat terug beter leek te klinken.

Het plan is om nog wat te tweaken mbt stereo.
Crossovers ,sublevels en targetcurve.

En dan evt eens verder kijken.

Het was best simpel. :)

3 dB meer op de subs en de gain van de versterker van de fronts wat opdraaien.
Uiteraard dan de rest van de amps ook aanpassen. ;)

De lage gain zal de fronts wat al te veel geknepen hebben.
Nu is er ook in stereo weer slam en sprankel.
0.5421  stap terug nog maar.

Inmiddels ,na de gain op alle amps wederom aangepast te hebben  (+12 dB), kan ik surround bestempelen als een sprong voorwaarts. :)

Gisteren was The Martian hier in premiere en wat er zoal door de ruimte vloog was indrukwekkend.
Achteloos wederom.

Wat ik verder nog wil valt te bezien.
Er speelt iets tussen mij en Audiac , waar ik wel klaar mee ben, en daar komt de Arcam vandaan.

Speakers heb ik nog steeds geen  offerte van binnen , dus dat is ook geen uitgemaakte zaak.

Afgelopen zaterdag had ik een wat minder helder moment  :yawnee: waardoor het volume op ipv neer ging.
Geen piep oid maar wel een momentje om weer scherp te worden. :P


Goed te horen dat de SDA je bevalt.

Voor mij is het weer een bevestiging wat DSP kan met enige sturing. :thumbs-up:
